Chiang Mai is a vibrant city with so much to explore, and I want to help you get the most out of your visit by sharing my favorite routes. In my latest video, I take you on a ride from Chiang Mai Airport all the way to Tha Phae Gate, passing through the popular Nimmanhaemin (or “Nimman”) area. This scenic route showcases some of the best sights, local spots, and a taste of Chiang Mai’s unique charm.

Why This Route?

For anyone landing in Chiang Mai, heading straight to the Old City’s Tha Phae Gate is an ideal introduction to the city’s history and energy. By taking a quick detour through the Nimmanhaemin area, you get to see a trendy neighborhood filled with cafes, boutiques, and unique street art. Known for its lively atmosphere, “Nimman” is the perfect place to stop for a coffee, try some street food, or simply people-watch before entering the more historic part of town.
